It rained for a couple days almost as soon as I arrived. Being middle of summer, it wasn't too cold. But some people were unprepared for it and got sick. Some left. After the rain, it was sunny warm weather for the rest of the gathering. Absolutely beautiful.

A helicopter flew around in the morning on the first official day, 1st of July. On the way into the gathering the police were harassing people, being very aggressive and generally making everyone nervous. So when the helicopter showed up around 8am or so, a lot of people were nervous. I took a look at it with my binoculars. I think it was a news helicopter. A small plane also flew over several times. Curious people I suspect.
There were many independent camps with kitchens providing food all over the gathering. Rumourz is the camp I ended up at. I played music (guitar, mandolin, drums) everyday and evening sitting by the fire. By the end of the gathering, my clothes smelled like smoke. My guitar still smells a little like wood smoke. A nice reminder.
